JPEGMAFIA (Barrington DeVaughn Hendricks, “Peggy”) is a multi-talented experimental rapper, producer, performer and leader in the underground rap scene. JPEGMAFIA released his fifth solo studio album I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU this past August 2024, which charted on Billboard Hot 100 and received praise from Pitchfork, The Guardian, NPR, Clash, Hypebeast, and many more. It has features including Denzel Curry and Vince Staples, and production credits from artists such as Flume and Kenny Beats.
Following the ILDMLFY album release, JPEGMAFIA has begun his world tour for the album – hitting cities across North America, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. His recent festival performances include highlights such as Primavera Sound, Pitchfork Music Festival, CDMX, Listen Out, Portola, Outbreak Fest, and more.
This run follows his very successful co-headline tour alongside Danny Brown for their collaborative album “SCARING THE HOES!” which included sold-out shows nationwide including landmark venues like The Hollywood Palladium. The album debuted at number 84 on the Billboard 200 and entered at position 39 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, while also charting in six other countries including Canada and the UK. In recent years, JPEGMAFIA has released critically acclaimed projects such as “Veteran” (2018), “All My Heroes Are Cornballs” (2019), and “LP!” (2021) – with praise from The Guardian, XXL, Office Mag, Complex, and many more.
