In pursuit of gold Usain Bolt hit almost 45km per hour – Berlin 2009. In pursuit of glory Lance Armstrong averaged over 40km per hour – Tour De France 2005. With more balls than both Bolt and Armstrong combined, Hot Pursuit is the FASTEST, the BOLDEST, the most VIRILE band to grace the Illawarra.
If Hot Pursuit founders Bloe “The Blowhard” Hardington and Oliver Lojek were to race Usain Bolt in the 100m sprint, not only would the duo ankle tap the poor bloke out of the blocks, but would also do one of those mid-air jump-farts on the way past. If Oliver and The Blowhard were to race Lance Armstrong at Le Tour, they would leave the disgraced pedal pusher with an empty marble sack and a chaffed crack.
With a diverse set of original hits, featuring rap, scat, and premium disco funk, Hot Pursuit are making waves, big waves – ever seen a tsunami live on stage? Living up to his epithet, The Blowhard launches into steamy sax melodies over each filthy funk number, and has been voted Wollongong’s number #1, thirty-two year old white rapper who mainly plays sax. To his right, Oliver Lojek takes a tasteful tinkle on the kuitar (keytar), while his distinct vocal tones “weave a rich tapestry” (C, GPT 2023) that will be spoken of by generations to come.
The Blowhard and Lojek conceptualise Hot Pursuit as the first multifaceted, multimedia, multicultural band, who knows their multiplication tables, from Wollongong. And thus, a true supergroup was formed in late 2025, with the conscription of some of Wollongong’s most experienced and decorated music veterans – ‘The Insaneorade Allstars’. Hot Pursuit is the FASTEST, the BOLDEST, the most VIRILE band to grace the Illawarra. Hot Pursuit is the only band in Wollongong capable of reaching speeds above 45km per hour.
