“Pop punk is back in fashion babe & there’s nothing you can do about it x Sort It Out have been in constant rotation for me since their EP ‘So Called Life’ dropped…” writes Triple J’s Ebony Weston.
Sort It Out haven’t showed any signs of slowing down since emerging onto Wollongong’s local scene in late 2024. Their brand of early 2000’s inspired pop punk has struck a chord with locals and they have carried that momentum ever since.
At their core they are a band built on long term friendship, a DIY attitude and a love for the music they grew up on, and never grew out of. Which is perfectly captured in a live show full of energy and controlled chaos. This has seen them share the stage with the likes of Bodyjar, Cartel (US), Hot Chelle Rae (US) and many more in their short time.
Each of their releases so far has received airplay on Triple J, drawing comparisons to Blink-182, Sum 41 & No Pressure. And if you were to ask any punters who have seen Sort It Out live they’ll likely tell you the same thing, the band brings the same kind of energy and excitement that has made the genre so enduring.
