Velvet Trip is the Psychedelic music project of Zeppelin Hamilton & Clayton Allen, born and imagined on Gadigal Country, Sydney Australia. With their own unique blend of psych-rock and indie-pop, Velvet Trip have been mesmerising audiences across Australia, selling out headline shows and making waves on the festival scene. Velvet Trip is performed live with a five-piece band that consists of Izzy Antonievich (keys), Arne Utiger (bass) and Will Coleman (guitar).
As individuals Zeppelin and Clayton have been honing their respective crafts, performing and writing alongside hard hitters like Julia Jacklin, Dan Sultan, Faye Webster, Middle Kids, and Emily Wurramarra – all the while developing Velvet Trip. Over the past three years, the duo tinkered away as the world spun into collective chaos, piecing together their debut album ‘Harmony Blooms’. The ARIA charting album landed high rotation on Triple J, #1 on the AMRAP Metro Charts and editorial cover spots across Spotify, Apple Music and TikTok. The group has been published in NME, New York Times (T-Mag), RUSSH magazine and was selected to be part of Mushroom Groups ‘First Nations Pathway Program’.
In support of their debut album release, Velvet Trip appeared at major festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, Summersalt, Lost Paradise, SXSW, Bigsound and they have supported acts like Parcels and John Butler. Vowing to never repeat themselves, Velvet Trip are sprinting into the horizon with a hard drive full of demos ready to take on the global stage.
