Jon Watts & LGL (Gran)

Jon and LGL are childhood friends. Jon says he regrets introducing LGL (Gran) to dance music. LGL agrees with Jon and adds that Jon needs to start playing no-input sets again.

Jon Watts

Jon Watts is a Sydney-based producer, DJ and co-founder of Sumac Records who has played and been involved in music across Australia for the last ten years. Releasing records for labels such as Buttersessions and OTIS Records, in addition to his own imprint, Sumac Records. His recorded musical output spans genres from the traditional to the novel, defined by his unique approach to time and minimalism. His Dj performance follows a similar process where nothing seems to be outside the realms of possibility, always looking to push boundaries of himself and those around him.

LGL (Gran)

LGL (Gran) has been involved running parties south of Sydney for a while, facilitating noteworthy visits form artists such as Roza Terenzi, Honey Dijon, Tornado Wallace, Donald’s House, Mama Snake, Andras and numerous others. Enjoying sounds spanning disco, early acid (anything Ron Hardy or Arthur Russell), New Wave, breakbeat, UKG, Nordic/Nu disco, Italo, trance, Detroit/Chicago playing in joints such Fredas, Golden Age, Harpoon Harrys, Perth Fringe, Uglebo, Heyday, LaLaLa’s. He has also acted as advocate to support musicians, performers, and festivals.
