Ivori

After  years  of  refining  her  craft,  Wollongong  based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist  Ivori aka Jess Brooker, is no rookie to the music world. Launching her new project in 2018, Ivori has  created  an  eclectic  indie pop sound, combining her piano roots with catchy vocal hooks and  electronic production.

Jess has had a long history of creating music, from early beginnings playing piano and singing and just  8  year  old.  Her  love  for  music  and  performing  continued  through  her  teen  years  and  early  adulthood, continuing to study music and contemporary performance at university.

Her debut single Bittersweet, released in 2018, was a ‘stellar and catchy debut that’ll no doubt aid Ivori on the way to being an act to watch throughout the rest of 2018 and beyond’ (Pilerats). The soaring, dynamic vocals over electronic production by Sydney producer Obseen creates a striking track,  with  Purple  Sneakers  describing  it  as  ‘indie-pop  with  an  edgy  and  experimental  undercurrent.’ Reaching #1 on the Triple J Unearthed Electronic Charts, #11 on the Overall Charts and  a  spin  on  Good  Nights  on  Triple  J, the single was a powerful debut.

Her second single ‘The  Moment’ gained community radio plays from FBi, Syn, Joy and 2rrr, and her tour saw her supporting  Fergus  James  at  Oxford  Art Factory Gallery Bar, and Sparrows at North Wollongong  Hotel. With a new single and tour set for July, as well as playing later in the year at Yours & Owls Festival, this year is set to be an incredible one for Ivori.
