Creating their own innovative yet intimate sound, Blue Vedder have provided the Australian music scene with a contemporary take on the nostalgic soundscape of the 90’s.
Emerging in 2021 from a pile of lo-fi demos in Seth Hancock’s bedroom, Blue Vedder took shape with the help of Lauren Eddy and Bryce Gardiner, and the group quickly solidified their place in the wider Australian scene. As the trio began to wander through the discographies of their gazey predecessors, they created a collage of their own personal brand of shoegaze.
“More meat on the bones than I expected. If it’s shoegaze then the soles of it have seen a few long treks down gravel roads.” – Dave Ruby Howe (Triple J)
Capturing the eyes and hearts of fans alike, Blue Vedder have seen themselves win the triple J Unearthed Spilt Milk Festival slot in late 2022, sell out shows across the country, and support artists like Flyying Colours and Horror My Friend. The band have also achieved consistent radio play and have clocked over 40k streams on their debut EP ‘Static’. With never ending plans for new releases and upcoming shows, Blue Vedder are here to stay.
