Billy Otto

Billy Otto is a Malaysian Australian singer-songwriter, record producer, model, mental health advocate, surfer, and environmental activist based in Byron Bay and Berlin. He has a unique and energizing surfer look, flamboyant style, and big personality. With his confessional lyrics, sun-drenched vocals, and earnest desire to inspire his audiences, he has crafted an exquisite, ethereal sound over the past seven years.

Billy nearly sold out his last Australian headline tour in 2021, and his coastal sonic lands somewhere between Harry Styles, Joji, Radiohead, and Tame Impala. He has journeyed the globe writing, performing, and speaking
across over 50 countries, feeling that creating music and community is his pen-ultimate mode of joy and nourishment.

He carries the live energy reminiscent of Hutchence, Iggy Pop, and Bowie.
As a producer, Billy has helped to accumulate close to 20 million streams across projects he has produced and co-written. Otto is set to release his much anticipated sophomore album “Fractal Woman” in July this
year. He will be basing his time from Berlin and Kuala Lumpur for the next year, collaborating, touring and creating with his stellar global team.

Billy’s eclectic infusion of dream pop, psychedelic, and rock have been known to bring his audiences into a trance and to facilitate an even deeper sense of unity and connectedness. He is no stranger to indie music
blogs and streaming platforms, having hit 100K monthly listeners in 2021.
Billy has been privileged to rub shoulders in the studio and co-write tracks with members from iconic Australian bands such as The Temper Trap, Gang of Youths, Alex Lahey, Sticky Fingers, and Coterie.
